- Abstract
The article presents the author's comments on the lack of proper research on the adverse effects of methyl isocyanate (MIC) leakage from the Union Carbide chemical plant in Bhopal, India. The author highlights the failure of any systematic public health response following the tragedy. The author says there has been no investigation of a wide range of adverse health effects to exposure including neurological diseases, pregnancy failures, and birth defects.
