- Abstract
The article focuses on the high-pressure steam pipe accident at the Sevesco top tier plant specialising in fertiliser production in Le Grand-Quevilly, France. It says that the explosion has happened in the ammonia production on June 28, 2010 due to two organisational flaws such as deficiency in equipment control during installation and incomplete traceability of pipe monitoring. It mentions that noncompliant and damaged equipment have been replaced and completed on September 21, 2010.
