The article examine perspective in relation to the Norwegian literature published in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). It mentions cultural history of the GDR is characterized by vicissitudes, by the alternation of thaws and ice ages that made the publishing business quite unpredictable. It also mentions recommendations for the publication of the book and university scholars such as the above-mentioned Horst Bien, a recognized expert in Scandinavian literature.
