The author comments on the head injury of Prince Don Carlos, the heir to the throne of Spanish king Philip II. The topics discussed include the primary reason why Prince Carlos suffered a scalp laceration that was very painful to him, the treatment procedures carried out by the King's doctors and the symptoms and illnesses which he experienced.
