- Title
IV. DISCUSSION.
- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study of the assertive behavior in children and how it might lead to aggression, in two nursery schools in Eugene Oregon. All of the data trends indicated that it was the child who interacted often with his social culture who has the highest tendency to be conditioned in a variety of social behaviors. It was also observed that of the nine highly aggressive children two were not controlled by the same reinforcing stimuli as the rest of the group. This suggests individual differences among children in the type of reinforcing stimuli that controls their assertive behaviors.
