- Authors
SEAMAN, JULIA E.; ALLEN, I. ELAINE
- Abstract
The article focuses on comparing an outcome of two conditions, X and Y and looking at the change between them as a ratio or percentage, or the fold change while testing groups or treatments. Topics include the outcome used for fold change usually expressed as a summary statistic for a group of experiments, advantage and disadvantage of using fold change, and fold change being a very powerful analysis tool as it can greatly simplify a lot of data into manageable and easy-to-compare numbers.
