- Abstract
CdS/MoS2 composite photocatalysts were prepared by hydrothermal method of CdS namoparticles on the surface of MoS2, and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence (PL) and UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectrometry (UV-Vis DRS) techniques. The results showed that CdS presented spherical sphere structure with a diameter of 400 nm, and adhered to the surface of layered MoS2, and they are closely combined. The photodegradation effect of CdS/MoS2 was studied by using Bright Green (BG) as the simulated pollutant. The results showed that the mole fraction of CdS/MoS2-15% was better with BG degradation rate of 91.80% after 75 min of visible light irradiation. The photodegradation mechanism studies revealed that e- and ·O2-were the main active species in photodegrading BG. CdS/MoS2 indicated high stability, as the degradation rate retained 84.46% after repeated use of the same photocatalyst for 5 times.
