- Abstract
The study provides a possibility to understand organizational knowledge in its two most general aspects: as a resource and human element. Knowledge as a resource can have several meanings but can be summarized in two senses, (known) and (knowing), that is, what is known and what is being known (Machlup, 1962). Knowledge can be a human element and, therefore, can be evaluated regarding its competence, quality, time, volume, cost, flexibility, and environment (Romero; Galeano; Molina, 2008). The development of this article was carried out through bibliographic review research consulting the scientific databases Scopus and Web of Science, identifying key elements and establishing theoretical relationships (Pizzani et al., 2012). As a result, the main evaluation guiding assumptions were obtained for an organization to integrate into a collaborative network.
