- Title
REGULATION OF CHANNELS OF DISTRIBUTION.
- Authors
Werner, Ray O.; Griffiths, L. C.
- Abstract
The author presents legal developments in marketing with particular focus on the regulation of channels of distribution. One of the developments describes the case of Wheel Centre Co. v. Western Die Casting Co. Inc., et al. In this case the court found that the refusal of a wheel die caster to release dies to a marketer of wheels to whom the dies belonged is a violation of antitrust law. Another development discusses the case of J. N. Cook & Harold Cook v. Ralston Purina Co., in which the court found Purina in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act as a result of the company attempting to limit the sales districts of its independent distributors.
