- Abstract
This article explores changing political communication and its contents throughout Social Media, specifically Facebook, and its influence in the official result of the campaign for federal congressman for the district X of the City of Xalapa in 2021. The results indicate a high participation of candidates --in terms of Facebook posts-- and a even higher response of comments, shares and reactions to those posts by users --real and fake--. This analysis focused in observing both candidate's and user's behavior --followers or not-- and to compare it with the official result of the election. Throughout data mining, posts and reactions to them were stored and analyzed, and the "temperature" of the comments was measured, with the objective of relating such behavior --candidates and users-- during one month --may 2021-- of election campaign and its final outcome.
