- Abstract
2 CRP-determination methods (a fluorescence-polarisation-immunoassay and a liquid-phase-immunoprecipitation-assay) were carried out in 60 patient sera with a CRP-concentration up to 360 mg/l. Both compared methods showed good precision and acceptable: 40 sera with low CRP concentrations between 3.0 und 50 mg/l showed a good correlation (r = 0.8959) but a high analytical scattering; in 20 sera with high CRP concentrations between 50 and 360 mg/l the correlation, was excellent (r = 0.9890). We discuss the two methods under different points of view.
