- Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of closed reduction and open reduction on the quality of life and clinical outcomes of patients with distal radius fractures. Methods: 60 cases of distal radius fractures treated in our hospital from June 2013 to March 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into open reduction group and closed reduction group by random number table, with 30 cases in each group. Closed reduction group patients received closed reduction and splint or plaster fixation and open reduction group were treated with open reduction and internal fixation. After the end of treatment and on patients with palmar tilt, ulnar deviation and radial length, blood loss, operation time, fracture healing time and clinical curative effect were observed and compared. Results: Compared with before treatment, the palmar tilt, ulnar deviation and radial length increased after treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the group of closed reduction, open reduction group of patients with palmar tilt, ulnar deviation, radial length and were higher (P<0.05). The amount of bleeding and operation time were higher in the operation (P<0.05); the clinical treatment of the excellent and good rate were higher (P<0.05); There was no statistically significant about the fracture healing time between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions: Compared with closed reduction, open reduction can obviously recovered patients with fracture of the distal radius of volar tilt, ulnar deviation and radial length, but the operation time and the intraoperative hemorrhage volume more, clinical curative effect better, two groups of patients with fracture healing time had no significant difference.
