- Abstract
The article reports on issues related to preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) and familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) in Great Britain. The British Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) has authorized an in vitro fertilization (IVF) clinic to use PGD for a child with FH. Meanwhile, the HFEA has awarded Paul Serhal of University College Hospital in London, England with the first license to test embryos for FH.
