- Abstract
The article discusses several elementary and secondary education-related decisions by courts in the U.S. as of July 2013, focusing on analyses of litigation matters dealing with issues such as American constitutional law, student suspensions, and racial discrimination in education. The First Amendment to the nation's Constitution is addressed in the 2012 case Bronx Household of Faith v. Bd. of Educ. of the City of New York. Freedom of speech and the rights of teachers are also examined.
