- Title
Anarchist theory: what should be done?
- Authors
Martin, Brian
- Abstract
The article discusses anarchist thought today and in the future. Contemporary anarchism leans heavily on the classical ideas of Bakunin and Kropotkin. Unlike Marxism, anarchism offers both a goal for society and a means of attaining it. Consistent with experience in other fields, the development of new anarchist theories will take years of practice and persistence to perfect. The future holds several possible paths for anarchist thought, including high-level theories on dominance and oppression, theories of anarchist alternatives for society, and theories on personal and interpersonal dynamics.
