- Abstract
The article focuses on the case of Muslim patient diagnosed with a rare congenital erythropoietic porphyria. Accordingly, the patient has showed several signs of erythropoietic porphyria (EP), wherein he has blisters and sunlight-sensitive skin, hematuria since his childhood days, hyperpigmentation of face and hands, and excessive hair growth. The diagnosis of the Muslim patient's disease was based on his sickness during his childhood. Furthermore, the patient was advised to use sunscreen with zinc oxide for the protection of his skin from sunlight and to wear protective clothing as well as hats to avoid the harmful radiation of the sun.
