The article discusses research evaluating the adaptation of a lay health advisor (LHA) model as a recruitment and retention strategy in a clinical trial investigating the effectiveness of motivational interviewing on smoking cessation in college fraternity and sorority members (Greek-life students). Topics include an overview of recruitment and retention strategies in Greek-life populations and the implementation of a LHA model among Greek-life students.
