- Abstract
27 consecutive patients with cheilitis referred to the Contact and Occupational Dermatoses Clinic at the National Skin Center in Singapore, over a 21-year period from July 1989 to December 1991, were studies retrospectively. All questioned regarding cosmetics and medicaments used on the lips, dental habits and personal and family history of atopy, had a general physical examination to detect skin lesions elsewhere, and were patch with a modified European standard series, additional allergens as indicated and their own lip preparations when available, using standard methods.
