Burrows, Desmond; Campbell, H. S.
- Abstract
The article provides information on a study that examined contact dermatitis to polyester spin finishes, which are liquid dressings applied to synthetic fibres in the course of manufacture to facilitate their processing. The number of cases of dermatitis possibly due to spin finishes that are reported in a factory manufacturing polyester yarns in the year 1977/78 is noted. The materials and methodology of the study are discussed. It reveals the negative patch test to N-methylolchloracetamide.
