- Abstract
The article reports on a study of the health effects of air pollutants associated with acidic deposition on asthmatic and nonasthmatic children attending a summer camp in Lake Couchiching in Ontario on June 29-July 8, 1983. The study protocol, which included lung-function testing for forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume (FEV), and peak expiratory flow (PEF) rate, and the experimental methods used are described. Environmental factors that are relevant in the study are fine particulate matter, temperature, and relative humidity.
