In the article, the authors present the case of a 40-year-old male public school teacher who was rushed to a hospital due to complaints of odd behavior, fearfulness, alcohol use, and hearing of voices in the past four years to discuss the rare and controversial condition called Ganser syndrome. He was prescribed lorazepam and thiamine to manage his alcohol withdrawal. He was not receptive to supportive therapy.
