- Abstract
A total of 168 posts focused on non-biologic HS therapies and were excluded from the final analysis of biologic-related domains. Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory dermatologic disease characterized by inflammatory nodules, abscesses, and draining sinus tracts predominately in intertriginous areas.[1] Several biologics are currently being studied and used for the treatment of HS after approval of the tumor necrosis factor- inhibitor, adalimumab.[2] With these recent developments in biological therapies, it is important to assess HS patients' perspectives regarding these medications. Furthermore, communicating the risks and benefits of the HS treatments effectively and efficiently may increase patient satisfaction and compliance with biologics.
