- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on whether the U.S. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System will be able to act as the last resort lender to address the next financial crisis as of October 2012. He reflects on section 13(3) of the Federal Reserve Act as well as the financial crisis in Europe. Other topics include executive compensation between 2005 and 2008 and the failure of banking firm Royal Bank of Scotland at the end of 2008.
