- Abstract
The article discusses a study on changes in bird communities in boreal mixedwood forests following wildfire and harvest in north-central Alberta. It discusses use of snags by Threetoed Woodpeckers and Black-backed Woodpeckers for foraging and nesting. It also mentions higher densities on postwildfire in Connecticut Warbler Brown Creeper and Winter Wren.
