- Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to reflect on the constitution of the subject and its possibilities for transformation based on the relationship between subjectivity, work and creation. To this end, we briefly discuss the notion of dialectic, based on the appropriations of Marxist and psychoanalytic traditions. Subsequently, we resorted to criticism and reflection of Nietzschean philosophy, especially from the readings of Michel Foucault and Rosa Dias to expand the debate and move towards other forms of subjective understanding. In this way, we highlight some divergences between such strands considering the Nietzschean criticism of the notion of dialectic, as well as some points of convergence, from the common meanings attributed to work in the field of psychosociology and the act of creation in Nietzsche's philosophy of art. Common in these conceptions seems to be the understanding that subjectivity is a social production, and as such subject to transformation in the midst of social relations. However, dialectical strands seem to indicate work as an essential human condition, so that subjective transformations occur in creative movements that oppose the alienation of work through a reappropriation of its meaning. In turn, Nietzschean-inspired readings emphasize the investigation of the historical production of subjectivity, looking closely at the techniques of self, movements that allow the subject to act on his own being and to create ways of governing his own life in a complex grid of relationships of power.
