- Abstract
This article discusses the necessity of establishing trust with family members of patients who are children, in addition to maintaining good communication with colleagues, for medical personal. These qualities must also accompany strict attention to detail during medical emergencies. The article presents a case study involving a toddler who suffered a severe head injury after being struck by a car. The article examines medical personal response to the emotional and informational needs of the toddler's family. It also discusses the importance of support for the medical personal who aid these families during tragic events.
