- Abstract
Objective: To identify the situation of the laboratory's routine antenatal care of postpartum women in the area of the Hospital of the West Regional. Methods: Quantitative research, documentary and retrospective. We analyzed 169 Cards Pregnant postpartum women institutionalized in HRO in 2011. We used a form containing questions relating to sociodemographic and obstetric. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: 89% had from prenatal care on admission, 33% were aged between 25 and 34 years, 30% had an incomplete primary education, 40% were engaged in home activities, 69% received prenatal care at UBS; 42% had undergone vaginal delivery, 73% had more than 06 prenatal visits, 4% had a pathology during pregnancy, 61% of all prenatal tests. Conclusion: The nonrealization of prenatal care leads to increased chances of a high-risk pregnancy. This work subsidizes resources that can contribute to the construction of public policies and strategies in services in prenatal care.
