- Abstract
The aim of this research was to record the degree of toxicity of MXD-100, an anti-fouling with plant compounds used in biological control of aquatic organisms, with different strengths, using as a target organism freshwater crustacean. We used three replicates with a individual of Macrobrachium amazonicum (Heller, 1862) -- Crustacea, for assay, 0.05 ppm, 0.5 ppm, 5.0 ppm and control. The tests resulted in the death of individuals in the acute dosing 5.0 ppm. There was a reduction of oxygen dissolved reaching 1.93 mg L-1 after dilution of the product in dosage acute. The results showed that the MXD-100 has the potential to be used only in closed systems and a high potential for oxidation.
