The article presents the discussion on reclaiming the language of civility and resistance from recent mischaracterizations in the public sphere concerning the nature and scope of both civility and resistance. Topics include neutralizing or weakening efforts at protest and resistance against social injustices and too willing for sanctioning violence; and many forms of injustice being left unchallenged due to misguided or misused concept of tolerance.
