- Abstract
The article reports on the second reading of the Fixed-Term Parliaments Bill in the House of Commons on September 13, 2010 in Great Britain. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg states that the Bill aims to introduce Fixed-Term Parliaments to remove the right of a Prime Minister to seek Dissolution of Parliament for pure political gain. Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill provides for a referendum on introducing the Alternative Vote to British General Elections.
