- Abstract
An essay is presented that reviews the book "Eccentric Existence: A Theological Anthropology," by David Kelsey. Topics addressed include the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, the relation between Christian eschatology and human existence, and the Christian notion of reconciliation with God. Kelsey's thought is compared to that of theologians including Friedrich Schleiermacher, George Lindbeck, and Hans Frei. Aspects of theologian Karl Barth's thought on gender are noted.
