- Abstract
The article presents the opinion of several medical personnel on the effects of allowing patients in England to choose a hospital for their non-emergency operations. Scott Justice, staff nurse at Saint John's Hospital, Livingston asserts that options will remain limited since hospitals will only offer certain specialties. Carol Singleton, service improvement manager at Greater Manchester, recommends that patients be allowed to choose a hospital, but doubts whether such move will be beneficial.
