- Abstract
This article aims to contribute to the reflection about the exposure to violence experienced by indigenous adolescents, specifically from the ethnic group otomí. To this end, 209 questionnaires were applied to students, and 5 interviews were conducted among the academic staff. It is noted that 2/3 of the respondents claims to have been insulted; there are cases in which the adolescents were attacked with knifes or firearms; 3% have been raped by force or threats, and belongings were taken away or the money restricted at 8%. Therefore, it states that Indigenous adolescents are constantly assaulted each other verbally, fiscal, and sexual. In turn, these young people are part of families where domestic violence is plentiful and the parents do not take responsibility properly of their raising children.
