- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined quadriceps muscle mass with ultrasound in critically ill patients. Topics discussed include the findings which show that muscle thickness as measured by ultrasound can be reliably assessed within observers, but not between observers, and that ultrasound measurement can easily be performed at the bedside in all critically ill patients.
