- Abstract
The article offers information on the regulation of neuronal autophagy, a-synuclein clearance and Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) in parkinsonian brain. It informs that dysfunctions of the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and the autophagy-lyso-somal pathway (ALP) play an important role in Parkinson's disease (PD). It has found in the study that the impaired homeostasis of a-synuclein or LRRK2 can result in autophagy defects associated with PD.
