- Abstract
The article examines a study on the effects of habitat fragmentation on dispersal of North Island Robin in a small island in New Zealand. This research concluded that the dispersal of robins was significantly affected by forest fragmentation. But another study noted that intraspecific competition is an important factor in robins' settlement and fragmentation is not a barrier to the occupation of available habitat and is irrelevant to the population's dynamics.
