- Abstract
An essay analyzing the moral politics of policing practices between 1993-2003 in the New York City, is presented. It discusses the significance of campaigns led by critical activists against the excessive stop-and-frisk policing practices of the New York Police Department (NYPD) Street Crime Unit to protect the black and Latino New Yorkers. It informs that campaign also aims to decriminalize marijuana in state law and prohibit violent crimes.
