- Abstract
The article provides information on a study which proposed a cost-effective method to retrieve individual tree height (ITH) in a forest from optical imagery captured by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Topics discussed include challenges pose by the characteristics of UAV-acquired imagery for forest 3-D reconstruction, and methodology and findings of the study.
