- Abstract
The article discusses the limitations of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (AEDPA) to the petitions for writs of habeas corpus and to innocence claims in the U.S. It examines the purpose of the AEDPA of 1996 and the United States Code (USC) Title 28 Section 2254. It describes the cases related to writs of habeas corpus and innocence claims.
