- Abstract
The subject of the safeguard of the artistic heritage during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) has increasingly presence in the scientific community. From our research, want to contribute with new knowledges about of the art collections private and his trajectory in the conflict of 1936. Famous collections as the Muntadas, Amatller or the Rccamora, between many others, were confiscated by the republican Generality to the start of the conflict, quickly and effectively. The dangers of the conflict caused that an immense volume of works of art and objects from the private patrimcny initiated a massive exodus towards the deposits of the north of Catalonia, arriving in some cases to travel beyond the border form ng part of the caravan of exiled Spanish treasures to Geneva.
