- Abstract
The article presents the author's reflections on the political career and legacy of U.S. president and American Antiquarian Society president Calvin Coolidge. An overview of Coolidge's political and academic career is given along with discussion of his personality, strengths and flaws. Several elements of Coolidge's successful and admirable political career before and during his presidency are lauded. The popular opinion of Coolidge twenty years after his death is particularly addressed and the author asserts that he should not be mocked nor dismissed but rather respected and honored.
