- Title
Worlds largest refinery starts up a novel sulfur-removal system.
- Abstract
The article reports on the use of two sulfur-treatment system technologies in a facility at Reliance Petroleum Ltd.'s Jamnagar Export Refinery in India. It cites that the facility combines three Cold-Bed Adsorption (CBA) sulfur trains with a conventional tail-gas treatment unit for processing sulfur. Angela Slavens of Black & Veatch Holding Co., which designed the facility, said that the use of CBA trains and a tail-gas unit was the best solution for higher sulfur recovery efficiency (SRE).
