- Abstract
The article focuses on the media tax audit and the media reform movement in South Korea. President Kim Dae-Jung has made a statement on media reform at the New Year's press conference on January 11, 2001. The International Federation of Journalists believe that the media tax audit was important for press freedom in Korea. The tax audit of 23 major media corporations by the National Tax Service intensifies the relationship between the government and the media.
