- Abstract
This article, published in Neurology India, discusses a rare case of craniovertebral junction tuberculosis (TB) in a 14-year-old child. The child presented with neck pain, fever, and anorexia, and was diagnosed with atlantoaxial dislocation (AAD) due to TB. The patient was initially recommended surgery, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, surgical intervention was delayed. After one year of treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs, the patient showed resolution of the infection and fusion of the C1-C2 vertebrae. The article includes images and emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of CVJ TB.
