The article focuses on the two species of Bactris found during a palm exploration in the Pacific lowlands of Colombia which are mistaken for their similarities with Bactris hondurensis. The differences of Bactris hondurensis, Bactris chocoensis, and Bactris manriquet in terms of steam, leaf sheath, and fruiting corolla are cited. The conservation status, common names, and distribution of the three palm species are also stated.
