- Abstract
The article comments on the commercial Internet industry's definition of "spam" and the importance of unsolicited bulk email to political activists' campaigns. America On Line has been stopped from imposing a fee on those who send bulk email to their AOL subscribers. The process of tagging and eliminating bulk email is explained, as well as the issue of a constitutional right to protected speech. The author would like to mobilize Internet users so they will participate in the debate surrounding spam.
