- Title
The Inharmonious Choristers and Blacksmiths of MS Arundel 292.
- Authors
Schrader, Richard J.
- Abstract
The article discusses the musical inharmony of the poems "A Complaint Against Blacksmiths" and "The Choristers' Lament" included in the archive of the British library MS Arundel 292. The latter uses various musical terminology making it more incomprehensible. Editors have difficulty of punctuating "The Choristers' Lament" due to its 52 long alliterative lines in thirteen stanzas. The former consists of 22 long alliterative lines and its representation of metalworkers failed to connect a monastic connection.
