The article looks at the life and works of Samuel Kneeland, leading bookseller, printer, and publisher in colonial U.S. It states that he started his print business in 1718 and started the "New-England Weekly Journal" on March 20, 1727. It notes that his firm produced a wide array of publications for over twenty years. It mentions that by the time he retired, he could boast nine hundred imprints with his name.
