- Abstract
The article focuses on the depiction of body and memory in the play "Coriolanus" by William Shakespeare. It describes the discussion about memory and forgetfulness in relation to the excessive corporeality of the character Coriolanus in the play. The role of weariness and improper bodily disposition in the forgetfulness of Coriolanus is explained. Also noted is the different moral framework in the play in light of the description of peace that shows bodily dysfunction.
