The article discusses the history of the theatrical production of the play "Lovers' Vows," written by Elizabeth Inchbald in Bath, England from 1801 through 1806, with a particular focus on the English author Jane Austen's possible viewing a performance of this play. It heavily references historical sources used by historian Paula Byrne, including the publication "The Bath Chronicle."
